Indication Dosage

Aripiprazole is a medication that is used to help people who have certain mental health conditions. It is prescribed by doctors to:

  • Treat Schizophrenia: Aripiprazole can help reduce symptoms like hearing voices or seeing things that aren't there and help people think more clearly.
  • Manage Bipolar Disorder: It helps in stabilizing mood swings, so people with bipolar disorder feel more balanced and less extreme in their emotions.
  • Control Irritability in Autism: In some cases, it's used to calm down extreme irritability and aggression in children and teens with autism.
  • Alleviate Depression: When added to other antidepressant medications, aripiprazole can enhance their effectiveness in treating depression.

Schizophrenia: 

  • Adult: 10-15 Mg Once Daily; Usual Dose 15 Mg Once Daily (max. Per Dose 30 Mg Once Daily)
  • Children 15-18 Yrs: Initially 2 Mg Once Daily For 2 Days, Increased To 5 Mg Once Daily For 2 Days, Thereafter Increased To 10 Mg Once Daily, Further Increased If Necessary In Steps Of 5 Mg To Max 30 Mg Daily 

Treatment And Recurrence Prevention Of Mania: 

  • Adult: 15 Mg Once Daily, Increased If Necessary, At intervals of 2 Weeks, Up To 30 Mg Once Daily 
  • Children 13-18 Yr: Initially 2 Mg Once Daily For 2 Days, Increased To 5 Mg Once Daily For 2 Days, Thereafter Increased To Usual Dose Of 10 Mg Once Daily, Further Increased If Necessary In Steps Of 5 Mg To Max 30 Mg Daily, Max Duration Of Treatment 12 Weeks. 

Bipolar Disorder, Acute Manic Or Mixed Episodes: 

  • Adult: Initially30 Mg Daily. Titrate: May Decrease To 15 Mg Every Day Based On Tolerability.

Content

  • Tab 10mg /15mg /20mg: Aripiprazole 10mg /15mg /20mg. Solution 1mg: Per ml: Aripiprazole 1mg.
