Betahistine is a medication prescribed for the treatment of Meniere's disease, a disorder of the inner ear characterized by symptoms such as vertigo (spinning sensation), tinnitus (ringing in the ears), and hearing loss. It is also used to alleviate symptoms associated with vestibular disorders, including dizziness and imbalance, by enhancing blood flow to the inner ear structures and reducing the frequency and severity of vertigo attacks. Betahistine works by improving the circulation of blood within the inner ear, thereby helping to relieve the discomfort and disturbances caused by these conditions.
