Lipid Modifying Agents

Indication Dosage

Adjunct To Diet, Type Ila, Ilb, Ill, Iv And V Hyperlipidaemia Including Familial Hypercholesterolaemia: 

  • Adults: 200 Mg Three Times Daily. 
  • Children 10-18 Yr: 200 Mg Once Daily Adjusted According To Response To Max 200 Mg 3 Times Daily.

Content

  • Tab 200mg /400mg: Bezafibrate 200mg /400mg.

Pregnancy

Contraindicated In Pregnancy.

Stability

  • Isobutyric Acid Derivative

Contra Indications

  • Risk Factors For Myopathy, Severe Renal Or Hepatic Impairment, Nephrotic Syndrome, Dialysis, Gall Bladder Disease, Primary Biliary Cirrhosis, Photoallergic Reactions To Fibrates.

Lactation

  • Raised Creatinine Levels. Rarely

  • Pancreatitis.
