Indication Dosage

Donepezil is a medication primarily indicated for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. It is prescribed to help improve cognitive function, memory, and overall mental well-being in individuals suffering from this progressive neurological condition. Donepezil works by increasing the levels of certain neurotransmitters in the brain, which can temporarily alleviate some of the cognitive impairments associated with Alzheimer's disease. It is an important tool in the management of this condition, providing potential relief to both patients and their caregivers. 

Mild To Moderate Dementia In Alzheimer's Disease: 

  • Adult: Initially 5 Mg Once Daily For One Month, Then increased If Necessary Up To 10 Mg Daily, Doses To Be given At Bedtime. Assess Response 2-4 Months, After Reaching Maintenance Dose And Only Continue If Positive Evidence Of Benefit. 
  • Children: Not Recommended.
