Fat Emulsions

Indication Dosage

Fat Emulsion is a sterile, isotonic emulsion that contains a mixture of different types of fats, including soybean oil, glycerol, and egg phospholipids. It is indicated for the following conditions:

  1. Providing a source of energy and essential fatty acids in patients who cannot eat or absorb enough nutrients orally
  2. Preventing and treating essential fatty acid deficiency
  3. Providing nutritional support in patients receiving total parenteral nutrition (TPN)
  4. Reducing the risk of hepatic steatosis (fatty liver) in patients receiving TPN

Fat Emulsion is administered intravenously and is typically used in hospital settings under the guidance of a healthcare provider. It's important to follow the instructions for use provided by the manufacturer or healthcare provider to ensure safe and effective use of the product

Dosage:

The recommended daily dose for adults is typically between 500 and 2000 mL/day, and for infants and children, it is based on body weight.
