Indication:
Folic acid is commonly used to:
- Prevent Birth Defects: Taking folic acid before and during early pregnancy can help reduce the risk of certain birth defects in the baby's brain and spine.
- Support Red Blood Cells: Folic acid helps your body make healthy red blood cells, which are essential for carrying oxygen throughout your body.

- Support Heart Health: Folic acid may also help lower the risk of heart disease by reducing levels of a harmful substance called homocysteine in the blood.

Dosage:
Megaloblastic Anaemia Due To Folic Acid Deficiency:
- Adults: 5 Mg Daily For 4 Mth. Doses Up To 15 Mg Daily May Be Required In Malabsorption States
- For children Below 1 Yr: 0.5 Mg/kg/daily, Doses Up To 10mg Daily May Be Required In Malabsorption States;
- Above 1 Yr: Some As Adult
