Macrolides, Lincosamides And Streptogramins

Indication Dosage

Infections Caused By Gram-positive Pathogens, Anaerobic Infections, Chronic Middle Ear Infection, Colitis, Impetigo, Osteomyelitis, Pneumonia: 

Oral: 

  • Adults: 500 Mg Three Or Four Times Daily; 
  • Children 1-6 Months: 1.25-2.5 Ml Three Times Daily; 
  • 6 Months - 2 Yrs: 2.5-5 Ml Three Times Daily; 
  • 3 - 9 Yrs: 2.5-5 Ml Four Times Daily; 
  • 10 - 12 Yrs: 5-10 Ml Four Times Daily. 

By IM Inj Or Iv Infusion: 

  • Adults: 600 Mg By IM Inj 12-24 Hourly Or IV infusion 8-12 Hourly. 
  • Children 1 Month & Older: 10 Mg/kg By IM Inj 12-24 Hourly; Alternatively 10-20 Mg/kg Daily By IV Infusion In 2 Or 3 Divided Doses At 8-12 Hr Intervals.

Content

  • Cap 500mg: Lincomycin (as Hci) 500mg.
  • Inj 150mg (1 ml) /300mg(1 ml) /600mg(2 ml): Lincomycin (as Hci) 150mg (1 ml) /300mg(1 ml) /600mg(2 ml) Amp /vial.
  • Susp /Syp: Per 5 ml: Lincomycin.
