Indication Dosage

Magnesium Chloride is a medication used to treat and prevent magnesium deficiency in the body. Magnesium Chloride supplements are prescribed when there is a deficiency of this vital mineral, which can occur due to certain medical conditions, medications, or dietary insufficiencies. Prevention & Treatment Of Hypomagnesaemia: 

  • Adults: 8-24 Meq/day 
  • Children: 2-10 Meq/day. The Usual Recommended Paediatric Maintenance Intake Of Magnesium Ranges From 0.2-0.6 Meq/kg/day. The Dose Of Magnesium May Also Be Based On The Caloric Intake; On That Basis, 3-10 Meq/day Of Magnesium Are Needed; the Max Maintenance Dose: 8-16 Meq/day.
