Anti-histamines For Systemic Use

Indication Dosage

Symptomatic Relief Of Allergy Such As Hay Fever And Urticaria, Insomnia Associated With Urticaria Andpruritus: 

Oral: 

  • Adult: 10-20 Mg 2-3 Times A Day; 5 Mg Twice Daily, Alternatively 5-15 Mg Once Daily At Night; 
  • 5-9 Yrs: 5-10 Mg Twice Daily, Alternatively10-25 Mg Once Daily At Night; 
  • 10-17 Yrs: 10-20 Mg 2-3 Times A Day, Alternatively 25 Mg Once Daily At Night, Increased If Necessary To 25 Mg Twice Daily 

By Deep IM Inj: 

  • Adult: 25-50 Mg (max. Per Dose 100 Mg); May Be Repeated In 2 Hr 

Emergency Treatment Of Anaphylactic Reactions: 

By Slow IV Inj: 

  • Adult: 25-50 Mg, To Be Administered As A Solution Containing 2.5 Mg/ml In Water For Injections; Maximum 100 Mg Per Course; May Be Repeated In 2 Hr 

Sedation (short-term Use): 

Oral: 

  • Adult & Children Above 10 Yrs: 25-50 Mg; 15-20 Mg; 
  • 5-9 Yrs: 20-25 Mg 

By Deep IM Inj: 

  • Adult: 25-50 Mg Every 6 Hr As Needed 
  • Children: 0.5-1 Mg/kg/dose Every 6 hours as Needed (max 25mg/dose). 

Nausea, Vomiting, Vertigo, Labyrinthine Disorders, Motion Sickness: 

Oral: 

  • Adult & Children Above 10 Yrs: 20-25 Mg At Bedtime On the Night before Travel, Repeat the Following Morning If Necessary; 5 Mg At Bedtime On the Night before Travel, Repeat the Following Morning If Necessary; 
  • 5-9 Yrs: 10 Mg At Bedtime On the Night before Travel, Repeat Following Morning If Necessary 

By IM Or IV Inj: 

  • Adult: 12.5-25 Mg Every 4-6 Hr As Needed. 
  • Children: 0.25-1 Mg/kg 4-6 Times/day As Needed.
