Anti-virals For Systemic Use

Indication Dosage

Stavudine is a medication used to treat HIV infection. It helps to slow down the progression of the virus in the body and improve the immune system's ability to fight off infections.

Hiv Infection In Combination With Other Antiretroviral Drugs When No Suitable Alternative is Available And When Prescribed For the Shortest Period Possible: 

  • Adults (body weight Up To 60 Kg): 30 Mg Every 12 Hours, To Be Taken At Least 1 Hour Before Food; 
  • Adults (body weight 60 Kg And Above): 40 Mg Every 12 Hours, To Be Taken At Least 1 Hour Before Food 
  • Children 14 Days Old Less Than 30 Kg: 1 Mg/kg; Max: 80 Mg/day, To Be Taken 12 Hourly.

  • Cap 15mg /20mg /30mg /40mg: Stavudine 15mg /20mg /30mg /40mg.

Pregnancy

Risk Cannot Be Ruled Out.
