Temozolomide

Anti-neoplastics

Indication Dosage

Temozolomide is a medication primarily used in the treatment of certain types of brain tumors, specifically glioblastoma multiforme and anaplastic astrocytoma. It is prescribed to patients as part of a comprehensive treatment plan, including surgery and radiation therapy, to slow down or inhibit the growth of cancer cells within the brain. Temozolomide works by interfering with the DNA replication process in rapidly dividing cancer cells, ultimately impeding their ability to proliferate.
