Indication Dosage

Ticlopidine is a medication used to help prevent blood clots from forming in people who have had certain heart and blood vessel problems. It's often prescribed to reduce the risk of stroke or heart attacks in individuals who are at higher risk for these conditions.

Reduction Of Risk Of First And Recurrent Stroke, Prevention Of Major Ischaemic Accidents Particularly Coronary With Chronic Arterial Diseases Of The Lower Limb At All The Stages Of Intermittent Claudication: 

  • Adults: 250 Mg Twice Daily. 

Coronary Artery Scenting: 

  • Adult: 250 Mg Twice Daily With Aspirin Up To 30 Days After Stent Implant (with Food). 
  • Children: Not Recommended.

Contra Indications

  • Haemorrhagic Diathesis, Active Peptic Ulcer, Acute Haemorrhage, Prolonged Bleeding, Leucopenia, Thrombocytopenia Agranulocytosis.

  • Bonemarrow Aplasia Or Pancytopenia
  • Thrombotic
  • Thrombocytopenic Purpura
  • Throwbocytopenia
  • Haemorrhagic Complications May Occur
  • Nausea
  • Diarrhoea
  • Cutaneous
  • Skin Rashes Of Maculopapular & Urticadet Typemay Occur Within First Three Months Of The Therapy
  • Hepatitis And Cholestatic Jaundice.
