Indication Dosage

Varenicline is a medication primarily prescribed to aid individuals in quitting smoking. It functions by targeting nicotine receptors in the brain, reducing withdrawal symptoms and the pleasurable effects of nicotine, ultimately helping smokers break their addiction to cigarettes. 

To Aid Smoking Cessation: 

  • Adult: Initially 500 Mcg Once Daily For 3 Days, Increased To 500 Mcg Twice Daily For 4 Days, Then 1 Mg Twice Daily For 11 Weeks; Reduced If Not Tolerated To 500 Mcg Twice Daily, 12-week Course Can Be Repeated In Abstinent Individuals To Reduce Risk Of Relapse
