Indication Dosage
Indication:
Albumin, Human is used to treat medical conditions where the body lacks enough albumin, a crucial protein found in blood. It helps in:
- Fluid Retention: Albumin can help reduce swelling (edema) in conditions like liver disease, kidney disease, or after major surgery.
- Shock and Burns: It's used in emergency situations to restore blood volume in cases of severe burns, trauma, or shock.
- Plasma Exchange: Albumin is used during plasma exchange procedures to replace lost blood proteins.
- Hypoalbuminemia: This medication may be given to people with low albumin levels due to certain illnesses.
Dosage:
Hypoproteinaemia With Or Without Oedema, Prevention & Therapy Of Cerebral Oedema:
- By IV Infusion: 50-75 Gm IV Infusion
Burn Therapy:
- By IV Infusion: Initially, 1 Ml/lb Body-weight Followed By 5% Soln Of Albumin.
Emergency Treatment Of Shock:
- By IV Infusion: Initially, 1 Ml/lb body weight followed In 15 Or 30 Min By 0.5 Ml/lb.
