Indication Dosage
Diphenhydramine + Aminophylline + Ammonium Chloride + Menthol is a combination medication used to treat respiratory symptoms associated with asthma, bronchitis, and other respiratory conditions.
The indications of Diphenhydramine + Aminophylline + Ammonium Chloride + Menthol include:
- Relief of cough: This medication can help to suppress coughing and make it easier to breathe.
- Treatment of bronchospasm: This medication can help to relax the smooth muscles in the airways, making it easier to breathe.
- Relief of wheezing: This medication can help to reduce the wheezing sound that often accompanies respiratory conditions.
- Reduction of mucus production: The ammonium chloride in this medication can help to loosen and thin mucus in the lungs, making it easier to cough up and clear out of the body.
- Treatment of allergic reactions: Diphenhydramine is an antihistamine that can help to reduce the symptoms of allergic reactions, such as itching, sneezing, and a runny nose.
Dosage:
- Adults: 10 mL to 20 mL, three to four times daily, as needed.
- Children (6 to 12 years old): 5 mL to 10 mL, three to four times daily, as needed.
- Children (2 to 6 years old): 2.5 mL to 5 mL, three to four times daily, as needed.
- Infants (under 2 years old): Dosage should be determined by a healthcare provider based on the child's weight and medical condition.

Contra Indications
- Diphenhydramine + Aminophylline + Ammonium Chloride + Menthol should not be used by patients who are allergic to any of the ingredients in the medication, as it can cause a severe allergic reaction. It should also not be used by patients with a history of seizures, or by patients who are currently taking medications that interact with aminophylline, such as certain antibiotics or antifungal medications.
