Indication Dosage

Alprazolam is a medication used to help people who feel extremely anxious or worried. It's also sometimes prescribed for panic attacks. It can make you feel more relaxed and calm when you're dealing with these kinds of feelings. However, it's important to use it only under a doctor's guidance because it can be habit-forming if not taken properly.

Short-term Use In Anxiety: 

• Adult: 250-500 Micrograms 3 Times A Day, Increased If Necessary Up To 3 Mg Daily, May Be Increased Every 3-4 Days; Max: 4 Mg/day. For Debilitated Patients, Use Elderly Dose. 
• Elderly: 250 Mcg 2-3 Times A Day, Increased If Necessary Up To 3 Mg Daily 

Panic Disorder: 

• Adult: Initially 0.5-1 Mg Daily, Preferably In The Morning, Then Increase By 1 Mg/day Every 3-4 Days. Maintenance: 1-10 Mg/day. Usual: 3-6 Mg/day. 
• Children: Not Recommended.
