Indication Dosage

Rabies Immunoglobulin (RIG) is used to prevent the rabies virus from spreading in the body after a potential exposure to rabies. It's typically given alongside the rabies vaccine when someone is bitten by an animal that might have rabies or in other situations where there's a risk of rabies infection. RIG helps the body's immune system fight the rabies virus and provides protection until the rabies vaccine can kick in.

Passive Immunization And Post-exposure Prophylaxis Against Rabies Infection: 

By Local Infiltration, Or By IM Inj: 

• Adult & Children: 20 Units/kg, Dose Administered By Infiltration In And Around The Cleansed Wound; If The Wound Not Visible Or Healed Or If Infiltration Of Whole Volume Not Possible, Give Remainder 

By IM Injection Into the Anterolateral Thigh (remote From the Vaccination Site)
