Indication Dosage
Doxazosin Mesylate is a medication primarily prescribed to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and symptoms associated with an enlarged prostate gland (benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH). It works by relaxing the blood vessels, allowing for smoother blood flow and reducing blood pressure.
Urinary Outflow Obstruction And Symptoms Associated With Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia:
- Adults: Initially 1 Mg Once Daily, Increasing If Necessary After 1-2 weeks to 2 Mg Once Daily, And Then 4 Mg Once Daily If Required; Max 8 Mg Daily For Urinary Outflow Obstruction and Symptoms Associated With Bph.
Hypertension:
- Adult: Initially 1 Mg Once Daily, May Be Increased To Double The Dose Every 1-2 Weeks. Max: 8 Mg/day.
- Children: Not Recommended.
