Indication Dosage
Ferrous sulfate is a medication used to treat and prevent iron deficiency anemia. It helps your body get the iron it needs to make red blood cells, which carry oxygen throughout your body. If you have low iron levels, your doctor may recommend ferrous sulfate to boost your iron and improve your energy levels and overall health. Always follow your doctor's instructions when taking this medication.
Prophylaxis of Iron Deficiency Anaemia:
- Adults: 300 Mg/day.
- Children: 1-2 Mg Fe/kg/day Upto A Max Of 15 Mg/day.
Iron Deficiency Anaemia:
- Adults: 300 Mg Twice Daily Up To 300 Mg 4 Limes/day Or 250 Mg (extended Released) 1 To 2 Times A Day.
- Children: 3 Mg Fe/kg/day In 1 To 2 Divided Doses, In Severe Cases Increase Up To 4-6 Mg Fe/kg/ Day In 1 To 2 Divided Doses. Doses Expressed In Terms Of Elemental Iron.
