Ringer's Lactated Solution is indicated for the following purposes:
- Intravenous Fluid Replacement: Ringer's Lactated Solution is commonly used to restore and maintain hydration in patients who have lost fluids due to various medical conditions, surgery, or trauma.
- Electrolyte Imbalance Correction: This solution helps in correcting imbalances of essential electrolytes in the body, such as sodium, potassium, calcium, and chloride, which can occur in conditions like dehydration or electrolyte disturbances.
- Blood Volume Expansion: Ringer's Lactated Solution can be administered to increase blood volume in cases of hypovolemia (low blood volume) resulting from bleeding, shock, or severe dehydration.
- Adjunct in Medical Procedures: It is frequently employed as an adjunct during medical procedures, surgeries, or diagnostic tests to maintain the patient's fluid and electrolyte balance.
