Flunarizine is a medication primarily prescribed to prevent and manage various neurological conditions, such as migraine headaches and vestibular disorders. It works by reducing the frequency and severity of migraines and by stabilizing inner ear disturbances, which can help alleviate symptoms like dizziness, vertigo, and nausea.
Prophylaxis Of Classic Or Common Migraine, Symptomatic Treatment Of Vestibular Vertigo:
- Adults: Initially 2 Cap At Night; Above 65 Yrs: Initially 1 Cap At Night. If the Response is Satisfactory, The Dose Should Be Decreased To 5 Days of Treatment At the Same Daily Dose With Two Successive Medicine-free Days Every Wk. The Treatment Should Be Interrupted After 6 Months And Should Be Re-initiated Only If The Patient Relapses. If The Response Is Not Satisfactory Within 2 Months, Discontinue Treatment.
- Children: Not Recommended.
