Albendazole is a medication primarily used to treat a variety of parasitic infections in humans. It is effective against conditions caused by certain types of worms, such as tapeworms and roundworms, which can infest the gastrointestinal tract and other parts of the body. Albendazole works by disrupting the parasites' ability to absorb nutrients, ultimately leading to their demise.
