The Haemophilus Influenza Type B (Hib) vaccine is given to protect children from a bacteria called Haemophilus Influenza Type B. It helps prevent serious illnesses caused by this bacteria, such as meningitis, pneumonia, and infections in the blood. The vaccine is usually given to babies and young children to keep them healthy and safe from these diseases.
Active Immunization Against Haemophilus influenza Type B: By Sc Or IM Inj:
2-6 Months Age, 3 Injections 1-2 Month Apart;
6-12 Months, 2 Injections 1-2 Month Apart;
1-5 Yr: 1 Injection. Booster: 12 Months After Last Injection (2nd Or 3rd);
Above 1 Yr Age, Not Required.
