Eletriptan is a medication used to relieve severe headaches, specifically those known as migraines. It can help reduce the pain, sensitivity to light and sound, and other symptoms that often come with migraines. Eletriptan works by narrowing blood vessels in the brain, which can be helpful in stopping a migraine attack. However, it should only be used when prescribed by a doctor for treating migraines and not for other types of headaches.
