Indication Dosage

Sodium hyaluronate is a naturally occurring polysaccharide that is commonly used in eye care products due to its ability to retain water and provide lubrication. It can be found in eye drops, gels, and ointments.

Some indications of sodium hyaluronate in eye care include:

• Dry Eye Syndrome: Sodium hyaluronate eye drops can provide relief from symptoms of dry eye syndrome, such as burning, itching, and discomfort.
• Contact Lens Discomfort: Sodium hyaluronate eye drops can also be used to alleviate contact lens discomfort by providing moisture and lubrication to the eye.
• Post-Operative Care: After certain eye surgeries, such as cataract surgery, sodium hyaluronate eye drops may be prescribed to aid in the healing process and reduce inflammation.
• Corneal Disorders: Sodium hyaluronate can also be used to treat certain corneal disorders, such as corneal erosion syndrome and recurrent corneal erosion syndrome.
• Glaucoma: Sodium hyaluronate can be used to improve the effectiveness of glaucoma medications by helping them to stay in the eye longer. This can reduce the frequency of medication use and improve patient compliance.
