Terazosin is a medication primarily prescribed to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and the symptoms of an enlarged prostate gland (benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH). It works by relaxing the smooth muscles in blood vessels and the prostate, helping to lower blood pressure and improve urinary symptoms such as difficulty urinating, frequent urination, and a weak stream.
