Progesterone is a medication commonly prescribed to address various medical conditions. Its primary indication is in hormone replacement therapy for women with insufficient natural progesterone production, helping regulate the menstrual cycle and mitigate symptoms of menopause. Additionally, it is employed in assisted reproductive technology to support pregnancy and prevent miscarriages. Progesterone can also be prescribed to manage abnormal uterine bleeding, treat endometriosis, and as part of contraception methods.
Habitual Abortion:
- Adults (Female): 400 Mg Vaginally Or Rectally Twice Daily For Three Months.
Threatened Abortion:
- Adults (Female): Starting Dose 800 Mg Rectally, Followed By 400 Mg Every 12 Hr, Till Bleeding Stops.
Pre-menstrual Syndrome:
- Adults (Female): Start On Day 14 Of Cycle With 200 Mg Daily To 400 Mg Twice Daily, Vaginally Or Rectally Continue Until Menstruation. If Symptoms Present At Ovulation, Start By Day 12.
Post-natal Depression:
- Adults (Female): 200 Mg Daily To 400 Mg Twice Daily Rectally Continue Until Menstruation.
Luteal Phase Support:
- Adults (Female): 400 Mg Twice Daily, Vaginally Or Rectally.
Premenstrual Syndrome, Prevention Of Endometrial Hyperplasia:
