Indication Dosage
Lower Respiratory Tract Infection, Pneumonia:
- Adults: 500 Mg Every 6 Hr Or 1 Gm Every 12 Hr.
- Children 9 Month: 25-50 Mg/ Kg/day Given Every 6 Hr Or Every 12 Hr (up To Adult Dose).
Otitis Media:
- Children 9 Month: 75-100 Mg/kg/day Given Every 6 Hr Or Every 12 Hr. Max: 4 Gm/day.
Upper Respiratory Infection, Tonsillitis, Pharyngitis:
- Adults: 250 Mg Every 6 Hr Or 500 Mg Every 12 Hr.
- Children 9 Month: 25-50 Mg/kg/day Given Every 6 Hr Or Every 12 Hr;
Skin Infection:
- Adults: 250 Mg Every 6 Hr Or 500 Mg Every 12 Hr.
- Children 9 Months: 25-50 Mg/kg/day Given Every 6 hours or Every 12 Hr (up To Adult Dose).
Urinary Tract Infection:
- Adults: 500 Mg Every 12 Hr; Serious Infection; 500 Mg Every 6 Hr Or 1 Gm Every 12 Hr.
- Children 9 Month: 25-50 Mg/kg/day Given Every 6 hours or Every 12 Hr (up To Adult Dose)
By IM Or IV Infusion:
- Adults: 2-4 Gm Daily In Divided Doses.
- Children: 50-100 Mg/kg Daily In Divided Doses.
