Indication Dosage

Infections Of The Lower Respiratory Tract, Skin, And Soft Tissues, Severe Infections In Immunocompromised Patients, UTI, And Gonorrhea: 

By IM Or IV Inj: 

  • Adults: 1-2 Gm Every 8-12 Hr, Up To 2 Gm Every 4 Hr Or 4 Gm Every 8 Hr For Life-threatening Infection; Max 12 Gm/day; 
  • Children 6 Months: 50 Mg/kg Every 6-8 Hr; Not To Exceed Adult Dose. 

Meningitis, Septicaemia: 

By IV Inj: 

  • Adults: 3-4 Gm Every 8 Hr. 
  • Children 6 Months: 50 Mg/kg Every 6-8 Hr, Not To Exceed Adult Dose.

  • Inj 250mg /500mg /1gm /2gm: Ceftazidime 250mg /500mg /1gm /2gm (as Pentahydrate); Powder In Vials.
