Indication Dosage

Diloxanide Furoate and Metronidazole are commonly prescribed medications used in the treatment of certain parasitic infections in the gastrointestinal tract. These medications work together to combat amoebic infections and other protozoal infections, helping to alleviate symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, and discomfort. Diloxanide Furoate specifically targets the elimination of the parasite, while Metronidazole acts as a broad-spectrum antibiotic with anti-parasitic properties.

Amoebiasis, And Other Systemic Disease Due To Other E. Histolytica, Giardiasis: 

  • Adults: 2 Tab Or 1 Ds Tab Or 10-20 Ml Thrice Daily For 5 Days. 
  • Children: 5-12 Yrs: Half To One Tab Or 5-10 Ml Thrice Daily For 5 Days; 1-5 Yrs: 5 Ml Thrice For 5 Days. In Refractory Cases, The Treatment In Adults And Children Can Be Continued For 10 Days.

  • Susp: Per 10 ml: Diloxanide Furoate 250mg, Metronidazole Benzoate 320mg Equiv To Metronidazole 200mg.
