Indication Dosage

Domperidone maleate is a medication that is primarily used to treat nausea and vomiting. It works by blocking dopamine receptors in the brain and upper intestine, which can reduce the feeling of nausea and the urge to vomit. Domperidone maleate is also sometimes used to increase milk production in lactating women and to treat gastrointestinal disorders such as gastroparesis. 

Relief Of Nausea And Vomiting: 

  • Adult & Children 12yrs (body weight 35 Kg And Above): 10 Mg Up To 3 Times A Day; Maximum 30 Mg Per Day. 
  • Children (body weight Up To 35 Kg): 250 Mcg/kg Up To 3 Times A Day; Maximum 750 Mcg/kg Per Day. 
  • Children Below 12yrs: Not Recommended. 

Epigastria, Sense Of Fullness, Upper Abdominal Distention, Regurgitation, And Gastro-intestinal Pain In Palliative Care: 

  • Adult: 10 Mg 3 Times A Day, Before Meal.

Content

  • Susp 5mg: Per 5 ml: DomPeridone Maleate Equiv To 5mg DomPeridone.
  • Tab 10mg: DomPeridone Maleate 12.72mg Equiv To 10mg DomPeridone.

Contra Indications

  • Cardiac Disease, When Administered Concomitantly With Drugs That Prolong The Qt Interval Or Potent Cyp3a4 Inhibitors, Hepatic Impairment, Prolactinoma, Gi Haemorrhage, Mechanical Perforation Or Obstruction.
