Indication Dosage

Ethamsylate is a medication that helps to stop bleeding. Haemorrhage, Treatment Of Blood Loss In Menorrhagia: 

Oral: 

  • Adults: 500 Mg 4 Times Daily During Menstruation. 
  • Children: Not Recommended. 

By IV Or IM Inj: 

  • Adults: Pre-surgically 1-2 Ampoules IV/IM (250-500mg) 1 Hr Before Surgery. Repeat The Dosage If Necessary. Postsurgically, 1-2 Ampoules (250-500mg) Every 4-6 hours as Long As The Risk Of Bleeding Persists. Emergency Cases; According To The Severity: 1-2 ampoules IV/IM Every 4-6 Hrs As Long As The Bleeding Risk Persists. Local Treatment Soak A Swab With The Contents Of One Ampoule And Apply To the Haemorrhagic Area Or In The Tooth Socket After Dental Extraction. 
  • Children: Not Recommended.
