Endocrine Hormone TherapyIndication Dosage
Exemestane is a medication primarily indicated for the treatment of postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive early breast cancer after they have completed 2-3 years of tamoxifen therapy. It is also prescribed for postmenopausal women with advanced breast cancer whose disease has progressed following anti-estrogen therapy. Exemestane works by reducing the production of estrogen in the body, thereby helping to slow down the growth of hormone-sensitive breast tumors.
