Indication Dosage

Galantamine hydrobromide is a medication primarily indicated for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. It is prescribed to help manage the cognitive impairments and memory deficits associated with this progressive neurological condition. Galantamine hydrobromide works by enhancing the levels of acetylcholine, a neurotransmitter in the brain, which can improve memory, thinking, and overall cognitive function in individuals affected by Alzheimer's disease. 

Mild To Moderately Severe Dementia In Alzheimer's Disease: 

  • Adult: Initially 4 Mg Tab Twice Daily For 4 Weeks, Increased To 8 Mg Twice Daily For At Least 4 Weeks; Maintenance 8-12 Mg Twice Daily; Alternatively, Initially 8 Mg Er Tab Once Daily For 4 Weeks, Increased To 16 Mg Er Tab Once Daily For At Least 4 Weeks; Maintenance 16-24 Mg Er Tab Daily

  • Severe Hepatic Or Renal Impairments. Avoid In Gi Obstruction, Urinary Outflow Obstruction, Whilst Recovering From Bladder Or Gi Surgery.
