Indication Dosage

Nitazoxanide is a medication primarily indicated for the treatment of various parasitic infections, including diarrhea caused by Cryptosporidium parvum and Giardia lamblia in both adults and children. It functions by interfering with the growth and replication of these parasites, helping to alleviate symptoms associated with these infections. Additionally, Nitazoxanide has shown potential in some studies for its antiviral properties, particularly in the context of certain viral infections.

Diarrhea Due To Intestinal Parasitic Infections Caused By Cryptosporidium Parvum And Giardia Lamblia: 

  • Adults & Children Above 12yrs: 500 Mg Every 12 Hr With Food For 3 Days 
  • Children 1-3 Yrs: 5 Ml (100 Mg) Every 12 Hr With Food For 3 Days; 
  • 4-11 Yrs: 10 Ml (200 Mg) Every 12 Hr With Food For 3 Days.
