Indication Dosage

Otilonium bromide is a medication used to treat irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and its associated symptoms, including abdominal pain, cramping, bloating, and diarrhea. It works by relaxing the smooth muscles of the intestines, which helps to reduce spasms and improve bowel function.

Gi Spasm, Premedication For Gi Procedure, Gi Disorders Associated With Anxiety And Agitation: 

  • Adults: 1 Tab 3 Times Daily. 
  • Children: Not Recommended.

  • Tab 40mg: Otilonium Bromide 40mg.

Pregnancy

Contraindicated In Pregnancy.

Stability

  • Anticholinergic

Contra Indications

  • Myasthenia Gravis, Paralytic Ileus, Toxic Mega Colon, And Prostatic Enlargement Pyloric Stenosis, Coma, Stupor, Hypersensitivity To The Drug.

  • Constipation Transient Bradycardia (followed By Tachycardia Palpitation And Arrhythmias)
  • Reduced Bronchial Secretions
  • Urinary Urgency And Retention
  • Dilatation Of The Pupils With Loss Of Accommodation
  • Photo-phobia
  • Dry Mouth
  • Flushing And Dryness Of The Skin
  • Confusion (particularly In The Elderly)
  • Vomiting Nausea
  • Giddiness
