Indication Dosage

Pemetrexed is a medication primarily prescribed for the treatment of certain types of cancer, including non-small cell lung cancer and mesothelioma. It is typically used in combination with other chemotherapy drugs and works by inhibiting the growth and spread of cancer cells. Pemetrexed is particularly beneficial for patients with advanced or metastatic cancer, helping to slow down disease progression and improve their overall quality of life.

Treatment Of Unresectable Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma (in Combination With Cisplatin): 

By IV Infusion: 

  • Adults: 500 Mg/m2 Over 10 Min On Day 1 Of Each 21-day Cycle With Cisplatin 75 Mg/m2 Infused Over 2 Hr Beginning 30 Min After Pemetrexed. 

Treatment Of Locally Advanced Or Metastatic Non-small Cell Lung Cancer Other Than Predominantly Squamous Cell Histology (in Combination With Cisplatin Or Monotherapy): 

By IV Infusion: 

  • Adult: (consult Literature Or Local Protocol)
