Indication Dosage

Racecadotril is a medication used to treat diarrhea. It helps reduce the frequency and severity of diarrhea by slowing down the movement of the digestive tract and allowing the body to absorb more water from the stool, making it firmer. It's commonly used to relieve diarrhea in adults and children, helping you feel better and preventing dehydration. Always follow your doctor's instructions when using Racecadotril.

Acute Diarrhoea: 

  • Adults: 3 Sachets Daily In 2-3 Divided Doses, Mixed In A Glass Of Water Together With Oral Rehydration And The Usual Support Measures. In Acute Diarrhoea The Daily Dosage Can Be Doubled At The Beginning. 
  • Children Below 1 Yr: 1 Sachet Daily; 
  • 1-2 Yr: 1-2 Sachets Daily; 
  • Above 2 Yr: 2 to 3 Sachets Daily In 2-3 Divided Dose Together With Oral Rehydration And The Usual Support Measures
