Indication Dosage

Sorafenib is a medication primarily used to treat advanced kidney cancer (renal cell carcinoma) and advanced liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) in adults. It is prescribed when these cancers are at an advanced stage or cannot be surgically removed. Sorafenib works by inhibiting the growth of cancer cells and blocking the formation of blood vessels that supply nutrients to the tumor. 

Treatment Of Advanced Renal Cell Carcinoma When Treatment With Interferon Alfa Or Interleukin-2 Has Failed Or Is Unsuitable, Treatment Of Progressive, Locally advanced, Or Metastatic, Differentiated Thyroid carcinoma That Is Refractory To Radioactive Iodine, Treatment Of Hepatocellular Carcinoma: 

  • Adult: 400 Mg Twice Daily, For Dose Adjustments Due To side Effects, Consult Product Literature 
  • Children: Not Recommended.
