Peptic Ulcer & Gastro-Oesophageal Reflux Disease

Indication Dosage

Vonoprazan is a medication used to treat gastrointestinal disorders, such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and peptic ulcers. It is a proton pump inhibitor that works by reducing the amount of acid produced in the stomach, thereby relieving symptoms of acid reflux and promoting the healing of ulcers. Vonoprazan has been found to be effective in both short-term and long-term treatment of GERD and is also effective in the prevention of the recurrence of ulcers.

Treatment Of Gastric Ulcer And Duodenal Ulcer: 

  • Adult: 20 Mg Once Daily For Up To 8 Weeks For Gastric Ulcer And Up To 6 Weeks For Duodenal Ulcer. 

Treatment Of Reflux Esophagitis: 

  • Adult: 20 Mg Once Daily For Up To 4 Weeks, May Be Extended For Up To 8 Weeks If The Efficacy Is Inadequate. 
  • Maintenance Dose: 10 Mg Or 20 Mg Once Daily. 

Prevention Of Recurrent Gastric Or Duodenal Ulcer Associated With Low-dose Aspirin: 

  • Adult: 10 Mg Once Daily. 

Prevention Of Recurrent Gastric Or Duodenal Ulcer Associated With Non-steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drug: 

  • Adult: 10 Mg Once Daily. 

Adjunct Therapy To Helicobacter Pylori Eradication: 

  • Adult: 20 Mg Of Vonoprazan, As An Adjunct To 750 Mg Of Amoxicillin Hydrate, And 200 Mg Of Clarithromycin At The Same Time Twice Daily For 7 Days, The Dose Of Clarithromycin May Be Increased Up To 400 Mg Twice Daily. As Alternative Treatment: 20 Mg Of Vonoprazan, 750 Mg Of Amoxicillin Hydrate, And 250 Mg Of Metronidazole.
