Alprostadil is a medication primarily indicated for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED). It works by relaxing the blood vessels and muscles in the penis, allowing for increased blood flow, which in turn helps men achieve and sustain an erection. Additionally, Alprostadil is also used in some cases to treat infants with certain heart conditions and to diagnose or treat specific vascular issues in adults.
