Indication Dosage
Infection Of the Respiratory Tract, Urinary Tract, Skin and Soft Tissue, Bone and joint, And Intra-abdominal Infections, Peritonitis, Cholecystitis, Septicaemia, and Meningitis:
By IV Inj:
- Adults: 2-4 Gm A Day In Equally Divided Doses Every 12 Hr, May Be Increased Up To Max 8 Gm A Day (equivalent To Cefoperazone 4 Gm A Day) In Severe Infections.
- Children: 40-80 Mg/kg/day In 2-4 Equally Divided Doses, May Be Increased Up To Max 180 Mg/kg/day In Severe Infections. Newborn Infants To 1 Week: 40-80 Mg/kg/day Every 12 Hr. Max Sulbactam Dose In Children 80 Mg/kg/day. For Cefoperazone Dose Higher Than 80 Mg/kg/day, Given Cefoperazone Separately.
