Hydralazine is a medication primarily prescribed to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It works by relaxing and dilating blood vessels, which helps to reduce blood pressure and improve blood flow, thereby reducing the workload on the heart. Hydralazine may also be used in combination with other medications to manage certain heart conditions, such as congestive heart failure.
