Indication Dosage

Secnidazole is a medication primarily indicated for the treatment of certain parasitic and bacterial infections. It is commonly prescribed to combat conditions such as trichomoniasis, a sexually transmitted infection caused by the parasite Trichomonas vaginalis, as well as for various other anaerobic bacterial infections like bacterial vaginosis. This medication works by inhibiting the growth and replication of the responsible microorganisms, helping to alleviate symptoms and promote the recovery of affected individuals.

Amoebic Dysentery: 

• Adults: 2000 Mg As A Single Dose. 
• Children: 30 Mg/kg Body-weight. As A Single Dose. 

Hepatic Amoebiasis: 

• Adults: 1500 Mg Daily In One Or More Doses For 5 Days. 
• Children: 30 Mg/kg Body-Weight Daily In One Or More Doses For 5 Days 

Trichomoniasis: 

• Adults: 2000 Mg As A Single Dose. Sexual Partner Should Be Given Same Dose.
