Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) – For adults with moderate to severe RA.
Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA) – Used with other arthritis medicines.
Ulcerative Colitis (UC) – For moderate to severe cases.
Juvenile Arthritis (JIA) – For children (≥2 years) with joint inflammation.
Graft-Versus-Host Disease (GVHD) – Used in transplant-related conditions.
Dosage:
RA & PsA: 5 mg twice daily or 11 mg once daily (extended-release).
Ulcerative Colitis:
Start: 10 mg twice daily (for 8 weeks).
Then: 5 mg twice daily.
Juvenile Arthritis (JIA): 5 mg twice daily (if weight is 40 kg or more).
GVHD: 10 mg twice daily, then reduced as needed.

Contra Indications
Tofacitinib should not be used by people with active infections like TB or serious viral and fungal infections. It is unsafe for those with severe liver disease, a history of blood clots, or heart problems. People with very low blood counts should also avoid it. Live vaccines should not be taken while using this medicine. It is not safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding, as it may harm the baby.
