Trazodone is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD) in adults. It may also be prescribed off-label for other conditions such as insomnia, and anxiety disorders, and as an adjunctive therapy in certain chronic pain conditions. It should only be used as directed by a healthcare professional.
Depressive Illness (particularly Where Sedation Is Required):
Adult: Initially 150 Mg Daily In Divided Doses, Dose To Be Taken After Food, Alternatively Initially 150 Mg Once Daily At Bedtime, Increased If Necessary To 300 Mg Daily; Increased If Necessary To 600 Mg Daily In Divided Doses, Higher Dose For Use In Hospital Patients Only
Elderly: Start With a Reduced Dose Then Increase
Anxiety:
Adult: 75 Mg Daily, Increased If Necessary To 300 Mg Daily
