Aliskiren

Therapeutic Group

Anti-hypertensive

Indication Dosage

Aliskiren is a medication primarily prescribed to manage hypertension (high blood pressure). It belongs to a class of drugs known as direct renin inhibitors and effectively works to lower blood pressure by inhibiting the activity of renin, an enzyme involved in regulating blood pressure. Aliskiren may be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive medications when lifestyle changes alone are insufficient in controlling blood pressure.
