Anti-malarials

Indication Dosage

Amodiaquine is a medication primarily indicated for the treatment of uncomplicated malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum, a parasitic infection transmitted through mosquito bites. It is used in combination with other antimalarial drugs to enhance its effectiveness and reduce the risk of resistance development. Amodiaquine works by interfering with the growth and replication of the malaria parasite in the red blood cells, helping to alleviate the symptoms of malaria and aiding in the recovery process.
