Dicyclomine hydrochloride is an anticholinergic medication that is primarily used to treat symptoms associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). It works by reducing the activity of the muscles in the intestine and preventing spasms. Dicyclomine hydrochloride may also be used to treat other conditions such as peptic ulcers, functional bowel disorders, and bladder spasms.
Gastro-Intestinal Disorders Characterised By Smooth Muscle Spasm, Flatulence, Abdominal Discomfort, And Colic (wind):
- Tab for Children Above 12yrs & Adults: 10-20 Mg 3 Times A Day
- Syp for Children 6 Months-2 Yrs: 2.5-5ml 3-4 Times A Day, Dose To Be Taken 15 Min Before Feeds. 2-11 Yrs: 5ml 3 Times A Day.
