Indication Dosage

Dioctahedral smectite is a type of clay mineral used for several indications, including:

  1. Diarrhea: Dioctahedral smectite works as an adsorbent, binding with excess fluid and waste in the intestines, which can help reduce diarrhea and regulate bowel movements.
  2. Gastrointestinal Disorders: Dioctahedral smectite is sometimes used as a treatment for gastrointestinal disorders, such as irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease, as it can help regulate bowel movements and reduce symptoms such as abdominal pain and discomfort.
  3. Antidiarrheal: Dioctahedral smectite is used as an antidiarrheal to help control diarrhea.
  4. Antacid: Dioctahedral smectite is sometimes used as an antacid to neutralize excess stomach acid and relieve symptoms of indigestion, heartburn, and sour stomach.

Dosage:

  • Adults: 3 Sachets Daily In 2-3 Divided Doses, Mixed In A Glass Of Water. In Acute Diarrhoea The Daily Dosage Can Be Doubled At The Beginning. 
  • Children Below 1 Yr: 1 Sachet Daily; 1-2 Yr: 1-2 Sachets Daily; Above 2 Yr: 2 to 3 Sachets Daily In 2-3 Divided Dose. The Contents Of The Sachet Can Be Mixed In A Bottle With 50 Ml Of Water Or Broth, Stewed Fruit, Mashed Vegetables, and Baby Food.
